Pendock Private Cellar is a new approach to fine wine retailing in SA. Located in an exclusive and historic premises adjacent to the Pendock Wine Gallery @ Taj located in the foyer of the Taj Hotel in Cape Town, the Cellar seeks to offer bespoke wines and brandies to Taj guests and Cape Town wine lovers.
The Cellar believes that terroir is crucial to identity, authenticity and character and will display wines and brandies within an appropriate geographic context. Each month will see a fine brandy featured in conjunction with an exciting food offering from award winning Taj chef Shyam Longani.
The Cellar will be open seven days a week from noon until 7pm. The first SA wine was made from grapes grown in the Company’s Gardens by Hendrik Boom, a stone’s throw away from the Taj, while the first SA brandy was distilled in Table Bay. Pendock Private Cellar brings SA wine and brandy back home to its roots.
